Connection and bucket parameters for an S3-compatible backend.
The credentials come either from access_key_id and secret_access_key or
from the standard AWS credential chain. When both fields are None,
object_store falls back to the environment-variable chain.
Debug redacts the credential fields, so a stray {:?} call or tracing
call never leaks them.
Fields§
§bucket: StringS3 bucket name.
prefix: Option<String>Optional key prefix inside the bucket. No leading slash and no trailing slash.
region: StringAWS region. AWS S3 requires it. Use the placeholder "us-east-1" for
MinIO and R2.
endpoint: Option<String>Optional custom endpoint URL, for example http://minio:9000 or an R2
endpoint.
access_key_id: Option<String>Optional explicit access key id. Without it, the backend falls back to the AWS credential chain.
secret_access_key: Option<String>Optional explicit secret access key. Without it, the backend falls back to the AWS credential chain.
allow_http: boolAllow plaintext HTTP. MinIO without TLS requires it.
multipart_threshold: u64Files of at least this size upload with multipart. Defaults to
DEFAULT_MULTIPART_THRESHOLD.
multipart_chunk_size: usizePer-part size for multipart. Defaults to DEFAULT_MULTIPART_CHUNK_SIZE.
conditional_put: boolEnable conditional puts (If-None-Match) so a PutMode::Create write
fails instead of silently overwriting. Defaults to true.
checksum_sha256: boolSend x-amz-checksum-sha256 so the server verifies each object on
ingest. Defaults to true.
max_retries: usizeHow many times one request is retried before the error surfaces.
Defaults to [DEFAULT_MAX_RETRIES]; 0 disables retries.
retry_timeout: DurationCeiling on the wall-clock time one request may spend across all of its
retries. Defaults to [DEFAULT_RETRY_TIMEOUT].
request_timeout: DurationCeiling on one HTTP request. Defaults to [DEFAULT_REQUEST_TIMEOUT].
connect_timeout: DurationCeiling on the connect phase alone. Defaults to
[DEFAULT_CONNECT_TIMEOUT].

§fn fg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
fn fg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
Returns a styled value derived from self with the foreground set to
value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use color-specific
builder methods like red() and
green(), which have the same functionality but are
pithier.
§Example
Set foreground color to white using fg():
use yansi::{Paint, Color};
painted.fg(Color::White);Set foreground color to white using white().
use yansi::Paint;

§fn bg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
fn bg(&self, value: Color) -> Painted<&T>
Returns a styled value derived from self with the background set to
value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use color-specific
builder methods like on_red() and
on_green(), which have the same functionality but
are pithier.
§Example
Set background color to red using fg():
use yansi::{Paint, Color};
painted.bg(Color::Red);Set background color to red using on_red().

§fn attr(&self, value: Attribute) -> Painted<&T>
fn attr(&self, value: Attribute) -> Painted<&T>
Enables the styling [Attribute] value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use
attribute-specific builder methods like bold() and
underline(), which have the same functionality
but are pithier.
§Example
Make text bold using attr():
use yansi::{Paint, Attribute};
painted.attr(Attribute::Bold);Make text bold using using bold().
use yansi::Paint;
painted.bold();§fn rapid_blink(&self) -> Painted<&T>
fn rapid_blink(&self) -> Painted<&T>
§fn quirk(&self, value: Quirk) -> Painted<&T>
fn quirk(&self, value: Quirk) -> Painted<&T>
Enables the yansi [Quirk] value.
This method should be used rarely. Instead, prefer to use quirk-specific
builder methods like mask() and
wrap(), which have the same functionality but are
pithier.
§Example
Enable wrapping using .quirk():
use yansi::{Paint, Quirk};
painted.quirk(Quirk::Wrap);Enable wrapping using wrap().
use yansi::Paint;
painted.wrap();§fn clear(&self) -> Painted<&T>
👎Deprecated since 1.0.1: renamed to resetting() due to conflicts with Vec::clear().
The clear() method will be removed in a future release.
fn clear(&self) -> Painted<&T>
renamed to resetting() due to conflicts with Vec::clear().
The clear() method will be removed in a future release.
§fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
fn whenever(&self, value: Condition) -> Painted<&T>
Conditionally enable styling based on whether the [Condition] value
applies. Replaces any previous condition.
See the crate level docs for more details.
§Example
Enable styling painted only when both stdout and stderr are TTYs:
use yansi::{Paint, Condition};
painted.red().on_yellow().whenever(Condition::STDOUTERR_ARE_TTY);
