Streams group membership: the StreamsGroupHeartbeat lifecycle and the
assignments.
The heartbeat client is a Kafka network client and exists only on native
targets. The assignment value types build everywhere, so an embedder on
wasm32-unknown-unknown can describe the tasks its own membership logic
assigns.
Structs§
- Streams
Assignment - The active tasks, the standby tasks, and the warmup tasks assigned to this member.
- Streams
Join Retry Backoff - Positive, whole-millisecond delay between Client Streams initial join retries.
- Streams
Leave Heartbeat Timeout - Positive, whole-millisecond deadline for the final leave heartbeat.
- Streams
Membership - A live streams-group membership. Construct via
StreamsMembership::builder. - Streams
Rebalance Timeout - Positive, whole-millisecond rebalance timeout representable on the Kafka wire.
- Task
Assignment - One assigned task and the source topic-partitions it processes.
- Task
Offset Tracker - A tracker to share task restored and end offsets with the coordinator loop.
- Topic
Partition - A concrete topic-partition a task consumes.
Enums§
- Streams
Event - An event emitted by the membership heartbeat loop.
- Streams
Status - A non-ready status that the coordinator reports, using the KIP-1071 status codes.
Constants§
- DEFAULT_
STREAMS_ JOIN_ RETRY_ BACKOFF - Default delay between Client Streams initial join retries.
- DEFAULT_
STREAMS_ LEAVE_ HEARTBEAT_ TIMEOUT - Default deadline for the final Client Streams leave heartbeat.
- DEFAULT_
STREAMS_ REBALANCE_ TIMEOUT - Default Client Streams rebalance timeout.
Traits§
- Schema
Prewarm - Hook that runs once at membership start to resolve schema ids before
processing.
SchemaCacheimplements it under theschema-serdefeature.
